Habitats: Beaches, dunes, salt marshes, canals, tidal mud flats, saltpans, fish cultures, lagoons, coastal pine groves, pastureland and cultivated fields.

Main species: Little Bittern, Little Egret, Spoonbill, White Stork, Greater Flamingo, Eurasian wigeon, Common Teal, Northern Shoveler, Common Pochard, Red-crested Pochard, Marsh Harrier, Booted Eagle, Osprey, Peregrine Falcon, Purple Swamp-hen, Stone-curlew, Collared Pratincole, Black-winged Stilt, Pied Avocet, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Grey Plover, Northern Lapwing, Kentish Plover, Dunlin, Little Stint, Red Knot, Black-tailed Godwit, Bar-tailed Godwit, Whimbrel, Common Redshank, Greenshank, Audouin’s Gull, Little Tern, Caspian Tern, European Bee-eater, Hoopoe, Common Kingfisher, Yellow Wagtail (iberian race), Bluethroat and Azure-winged Magpie.
