Habitats: Dunes, salt marshes, canals, tidal mud flats, saltpans, fish cultures, lagoons, coastal pine woods, pastureland and cultivated fields.

Main species: Little Egret, White Stork, Spoonbill, Greater Flamingo, Shelduck, Northern Shoveler, Red-crested Pochard, Common Pochard, Marsh Harrier, Peregrine Falcon ,Purple Swamp-hen, Little Bustard, Pied Avocet, Black-winged Stilt, Stone-curlew, Collared Pratincole, Kentish Plover, Eurasian Golden Plover, Grey Plover, Northern Lapwing, Dunlin, Ruff, Jack Snipe, Little Stint, Black-tailed Godwit, Bar-tailed Godwit, Whimbrel, Spotted Redshank, Common Redshank, Greenshank, Audouin’s Gull, Little Tern, Caspian Tern, Black Tern, Great Spotted Cuckoo, Red-necked Nightjar, Pallid Swift, Hoopoe, Kingfisher, European Bee-eater, Hoopoe, Common Kingfisher, Calandra Lark, Lesser Short-toed Lark, Crested Lark, Thekla Lark, Yellow Wagtail (iberian race), Bluethroat and Woodchat Shrike.
